Samuel first married Inez Adeline Bair on 23 Jun 1934 in Novelty, Knox County, Missouri, they later divorced. He then married Mary Elizabeth Gibbons on 13 SEP 1951 in Waynesboro, Wayne County, Mississippi.

SAMUEL LINDSEY
Edina, Mo., Sept. 16. — Samuel Lindsey, 53, of Fairbanks, Alaska, died Wednesday afternoon at 12:15 in St. Mary hospital at Quincy, Ill., where he had been a patient since Aug. 12.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 in St. Joseph Catholic church here. The Rev. Fred Yehle will offiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
Mr. Lindsey was born in Knox county Dec 20, 1912, a son of Samuel L. and Cora
Montague Lindsey. On Sept. 13, 1951. he was married to Mary Gibbons in Waynesboro, Miss. She survives. A former Edina resident, he went to Alaska in 1959 where he was a lumber man and owned a mill.
Surviving with the widow of Edina are a son, Samuel Eugene, of Ft. Collins, Col.; his parents of Ft. Collins; three sisters, Mrs. Louis (Helen) Gueswell, Mrs. Jack (Pauline) Brookhart, Mrs. Marvin (Annabell) Stonemets of Ft. Collins; five brothers, Lee of Wheatland, Wyo., Noble and James M. of Plevna, Mo., Raymond of Bellevue, Wis., and Curtis of Ft. Collins, and two grandchildren.

He married the former Mary Gibbons on Sept. 13, 1951 at Waynesboro, Mississippi. He is survived by a son Samuel Eugene. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
