ANNA — Marjorie Louise Farris, 85, went to be with the Lord at 4 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2010, holding hands with her loving husband and surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Charleston, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Helen Farmer Singleton.

Marjorie married Billy J. Farris on Aug. 26, 1950, in Piggott, Ark. He survives in Anna.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Bill of Anna; one son, Michael (Rita) Hancock of Jonesboro; special friend and daughter-in-law, Judith Hancock; two daughters-in-law, Janelle Farris of Anna, and Robbie Anderson of Cave-In-Rock; nine grandchildren, Scott Doody, Andrea Decker, Jamison Moore, Michelle Hancock, Todd Hancock, Micheal S. Hancock, Chad Farris, Rachael Farris, and Jason Knez; eight great-grandchildren; three great great-grandsons; one great great-granddaughter; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Boshera of Jonesboro; and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Catherine Moore; one son, Mark Farris; one brother; and one sister.
Marjorie was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church for 51 years, and taught Sunday school to the first and second graders for over 30 years.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010, in the Anna Heights Baptist Church in Anna, with the Rev. Scott Harner and the Rev. Mark Roath officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
