Mrs. Caroline L. Ratajczak, 72, of 745 S. Bendix Dr., was dead on arrival at 1:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hospital. She was a retired employee of Studebaker Corp. Born Nov. 1, 1892, in Gonzales, Tex., she was married June 10, 1910, in Ft. Sam Houston, Tex., to Frank Ratajczak, who died June 1, 1930. She had lived in South Bend the last 54 years. Surviving are four sons, Louis, Peter, Benjamin and Arthur, and two daughters, Mrs. Helen Zawierucha and Mrs. Patricia Miller all of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Florian Kocharek, of San Antonio, Tex., and Mrs. Christine Wendland, of Belpre, Ohio, and also 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, Friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Funeral Home, The funeral mass will be said at 9 a.m. Tuesday by Rev. John J. Moskal, pastor, in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. She was a member of St. Joseph's Society 65, Polish Women's Alliance, of St. Hedwig's Church. The rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Bendix Dr. who died Saturday, will be Gene Kuc, James Connors, Kenneth Ratajczak, Daniel Wegenke, Wilbur Benson, and Dennis Zawierucha. Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home.
