HASCUE BROOKS CLIFTON WAS THE SON OF JAMES EDWARD AND MARY ALICE LANGLEY CLIFTON.

HE MARRIED MARGARET JOSEPHINE BOMBAILEY 19 AUG 1916 IN HAWKINS COUNTY, TENNESSEE. GOD BLESSED THIS MARRIAGE WITH THE FOLLOWING CHILDREN: HELEN RUTH AND GARNIE FREDERICK CLIFTON.

SURGOINSVILLE – Hascue Brooks Clifton, 80, of Surgoinsville, Rt. 1, died Friday at 7:20 p.m. at Holston Valley Community Hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Clifton had spent most of his life in Hawkins County and was a member of the Cold Springs Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Tennessee Eastman Company.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kyle (Helen) Dean of Kingsport; son, Garnie Clifton, Surgoinsville; brothers, J. W. and C. W. Clifton, both of Surgoinsville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Wilson Funeral Home of Church Hill is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Funeral services for Hascue Brooks Clifton, 80, of Surgoinsville, Route 1, will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Church Hill. The Rev. Norman Lytton and Rev. Gerald Doutt will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hawkins County Memorial Gardens. The body will remain at Wilson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
