WILLIAM LADWIG PASSES AWAY AT NORFOLK, NEBR.
The remains of William Ladwig, who died at the state hospital at Norfolk, were brought to Blair today, and funeral services will be held from the Episcopal church Saturday afternoon at 2:30.
William Ladwig was born in Germany 68 years ago and was married in Blair 39 years ago to Miss Christina Hagen. Twelve children were born to the union, 9 boys and 3 girls, who with the wife are left to mourn the death of a husband and father. Deceased also has a sister living at Saginaw, Michigan.
Mr. Ladwig was a brick mason by trade, but for a number of years conducted a business in the building now occupied by The Tribune office and later moved with his family to a small tract of land on the water works hill.

The funeral of Wm. Ladwig, whose death occurred last Thursday, was held at St. Mary's Episcopal church at 2:30 Saturday afternoon. The large number of friends and relatives present and the beautiful floral offerings showed something of the high esteem in which Mr. Ladwig was held in the community, of which he has been a resident for about 44 years.
He was born in Mecklenburg, Germany, February 29, and so was past 64 years of age. He came to this country in 1879 and in 1884 he was married to Christina Hagge in this city. Twelve children were born to them, nine boys and three girls, all of whom are now living. William at Petersburg, Neb., Frederick, Henry, Herman, Peter, John and Albert at Blair, Frank at Grand Island, and Ernest at Manila, Ia.
