Woodward Ercel (Jack) Williams, 78, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at home. He was born February 19, 1932.
He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked and retired from John Deere Des Moines Works.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; three sons, LeRoy (Lynn) of Woodward, Dale (Cindy) of Perry, and Bob (Cheri) of West Des Moines; one daughter, Wanda (John) DeConnick of Denison; one brother, Jerry (Imogene) Williams of Green Top, Missouri; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed biking, walking, woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren, and his two beloved dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Myrtle Williams; two sisters, Mildred Gulick and Thelma Stewart; six brothers, Wilber, Bob, Cleavy, Willard, Edward, and Lawrence Williams; and one son, Jackie Williams.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010 at Norwoodville Baptist Church with burial of cremated remains to follow at Berwick Cemetery.
