Winfred Lee Blair, born February 22, 1933, left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 27, 2013.

Winfred was a very well loved and respected man by everyone who knew him. He was a longtime member of Broadway Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of the US Army, and retired from ALCOA Aluminum Company. He loved working with wood and was very skilled at woodcarving. He handcrafted many beautiful items, including cabinets, cedar chests, and grandfather clocks among many other things. He also enjoyed animals, the outdoors, gardening, and golf.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 37 years, Dorothy O. Blair; parents, Com F. and Dicie Ogle Blair; sister, Ruth Gaynell Hood; and step-daughter, Vicky Rigby.

He is survived by his step-son and wife, Alan and Beverly England; stepson-in-law, David Rigby; nieces, Emma Lee Durham, Linda Pence, and Sharon Coope; nephew, Eddie Booker; great-nephews, Brandon Pence, and Jeffrey Durham; great-niece, Elizabeth Durham; dear friends, Bill and Sondra Hedburg; and dear friend and caregiver, Vickie Icenhower. He also leaves behind his 2 beloved cats, Tom Tom and Moocher.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Grandview Cemetery, Rev. Tony Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, TN. (865) 982-6041.
