Funeral services were held November 10 at the Legion Hall in Herman for Harlan Ruwe, age 74. He died November 7 at the Tekamah Senior Citizens Home where he had been a resident for a year.

Harlan was born May 12, 1910 at the farm west of Herman, Nebraska to Ida and Herman Ruwe. He lived on the family farm all his life, until he moved to Tekamah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Delmar. He is survived by a sister, Esther Sprick of Tekamah and several nieces and nephews.

Burial was at Fontanelle Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Richard Thompson, Darrel Kuhlman, Dwaine Jordan, Robert Anderson, Lester Curley and Roland Hovendick.

Gracie Husk was organist; Lois Wachter was vocalist. Hamel and Peck were in charge of the service.
