Richard O. Schwind, 88 of Bowling Green passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007 at the Bowling Green Manor Nursing Home. Richard was born December 9, 1918 in Perrysburg, Ohio to the late Otto J. and Bertha (Getz) Schwind. He married Shirley M. Dyer on July 15, 1940 in Findlay, Ohio and she survives. Mr. Schwind worked as a lifelong farmer in Wood County. He was a member of the Wood County Farm Bureau and St. Aloysius Catholic Church, in Bowling Green. Richard is survived by his wife, Shirley of Bowling Green; two sons, Richard E. and Jim (Margaret) Schwind both of Bowling Green, Ohio; four daughters, Pat Dewyer of Bowling Green, Sue (Larry) Hoehn of Knoxville, Tennessee, Connie (Kevin) Philo of Dayton, Ohio and Shelly Graham of Findlay, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Michaelis of Bowling Green, Ohio and Eileen Celelek of Perrysburg, Ohio; two brothers, Paul (Ardis) Schwind of Millbury, Ohio and Melvin (Ann) Schwind of Perrysburg, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Friends and family will be received on Monday January 22, 2007 from 9 AM until 11:15 AM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green, Ohio 419-352-2171. The Funeral Mass for Mr. Schwind will be held on Monday at 11:30 AM in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. Enterprise, Bowling Green, Ohio. Burial will follow in Wood County Memory Gardens.
