Legendary tap dancer. With older brother Fayard constituted the Nicholas Brothers, who were one of the greatest dancing teams in American movie history. They appeared in more than 50 movies. One of their idols, Fred Astaire, told them that their "Jumping Jive" dance in the 1943 movie "Stormy Weather" was the greatest performance he had ever seen. Harold's first wife was actress Dorothy Dandridge. He also acted and appeared in Broadway productions.
