Talmadge Franklin Farmer, age 66, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 1997 in Smyth County Community Hospital.
Mr. Farmer was a native of Grayson County and had lived most of his life in Smyth County. He was employed with Holston River Rock Quarry for many years and with Visador Company for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Farmer; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Farmer, Marion; three brothers, Stacey Farmer and Robert Earl Farmer, both of Marion, and Willis Farmer, Hiawassie; one granddaughter, Victoria Farmer, Marion; several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, in Barnett's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Sage officiating. Interment will follow in the Haw Orchard Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
