Arlie Chandler Stuart, 78, of Newport, died July 25 at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County.

He was retired from Bush Brothers.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Polly Stuart; and son, Donny Stuart.

Survivors: children, Imogene Campbell of Bean Station, and Charles Stuart, Wayne Stuart, Brenda Lloyd, Linda Freeman, Judy (Ed) Hurst, Nina (Leon) Frazier, Gary (Nina) Stuart, Ronnie Stuart and Kim White, Nick (Sherry) Stuart, and Rich (Cheryl) Webb, all of Newport; sisters, Ellie Worley and Daisy Allen, both of Newport; brothers, Orville Stuart and Griffen Stuart, both of Cosby, and Forrest Stuart, Haskell Stuart, and Lester Stuart, all of Newport; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Debbie Mooneyham.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday evening, July 27, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Adam Sanders ofÞciating. Burial will be in the Faubion Cemetery.

Costner-Maloy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
