"MARCUS F. ALLYN DEAD
   Marcus Francisco Allyn, aged 72 year, 1 month and 19 days, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Matthew Thomas on East Water street Monday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock. Death was the result of a paralytic stroke which he received Friday afternoon followed by two on Sunday. The deceased has been in ill health for the past four years, but not until the last several months has he been confined to his bed.
   The funeral was conducted from his late home Monday afternoon followed by services at the Primitive Baptist church at Farmersville at 3:30 o'clock. Rev. Hancock of Eldorado, preached the services. Interment was made in the Moore cemetery. Surviving are his wife--Mrs. Harriett Allyn and two daughters, Mrs. Wm. Kiltz and Mrs. Matthew Thomas and several grand children and five great grandchildren, besides a large number of friends."
