Espionage Figure, Literary Inspiration. Original name: Sigmund Georgievich Rosenblum. His exploits as a spy for the British Secret Service MI5 before The First World War and until his 1925 capture and execution in Russia, are the basis for several books and a television mini-series. Sidney Reilly is believed to be the real life inspiration for Ian Fleming's James Bond. (bio by: not a top contributor)
