Freddie's mother married William Henry Loftin in 1879 and five additional half-siblings were born from this union; Marshall Heath Loftin, Elizabeth J. "Lizzie" Loftin, Helen Loftin, Margaret Raiford (Loftin) Gramling and Catherine (Loftin) Hopkins.

The Holly Springs Reporter Newspaper, Holly Springs, Marshall County, Mississippi, dated (Thursday) April 30, 1914.

Mrs. H.C. Barrow Dead

Mrs. Freddie Thomas Barrow, wife of Henry C. Barrow died at their home near Victoria Sunday night. The funeral services were held from the residence Monday evening and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Byhalia.

Mrs. Barrow had been in the hospital in Memphis but returned home about two weeks ago apparently much improved but took a turn for the worse on last Friday night while sitting at the supper table. She was the oldest daughter of Mrs. W.H. Loftin. Is survived by her husband, three sisters, Mrs. May McKenzie of New Orleans, Mrs. Margaret Grambling of Indianapolis, Mrs. Shirley Hopkins of Holly Springs and one brother Mr. Heath Loftin of Victoria.

No person ever lived in Marshall county who had more friends among all classes of people than Mrs. Barrow and it can be most truthfully said of her "None knew her but to love her none named her but to praise". The family have the sympathy of every one in this sore bereavement.
