ROGER J. SCHLATTER, 66, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at his home. He was born Oct. 29, 1943, a son of the late Clifford V. and Lucille (Yorkivich) Schlatter.
He is survived by his daughters, Regina (Virgil) Duke and Rebecca (Jeff) McCoy; sons, Rex (Cynthia) Schlatter, Ricky (Nancy) Schlatter, Roger (Lani) Schlatter, Robert (Mary) Schlatter and Rodney Schlatter; ex-wife and her husband, Roseann (Larry) Kinsey; special friend, Linda; brothers, Duane (Sue) Schlatter and Lynn Schlatter; sisters, Donna (Robert) Young and Joann (John) Steiren; stepmother, Elizabeth Schlatter; stepbrothers, Doug and Dick Kempf; and 12 grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Luke McCoy, in 2001; and stepbrother, James Kempf.
Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Jewel officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
