|Death: ||Feb. 9, 1895|
Nellie Williams was my great grandmother on my grandfather's side. She died long before I was born so I never knew her or even what she looked like. If anyone lives near this cemetery, I would like a photo of her stone please.
file notes: e-mail from Anne K
She died 2/09/1895, according to her death certificate (which I cannot find!), at Cook County Insane Asylum. She was buried at Oak Woods cemetery, where her next of kin was listed as "LA" (Block) There is also a burial plot listed, but no-one else with her there. That was all the info I was able to get. I called the NARA archives at Northeastern Illinois University for the search, her cert is listed online in the pre-1916 death database. Anne
I just checked that database again today 5/21/09) and her death record is no longer in it.
August 14, 2012: I can't seem to find her death record.

I'm sure the person above isn't the right Nellie. I found an obit for a Nellie J.. She died of Malaria and apparently unmarried. Her father's name was George T. Williams, mother Maria. This young woman is also buried in Oak Woods.
