NORMA ANN ELDER MILLER
HENDERSON, Ney. -- Memorial graveside services for Norma Ann Elder Miller were conducted Friday, June 29, 2012, at the Riverview Cemetery in Green River. Cremation has taken place.
Mrs. Miller, 87, of Henderson, Nev., died Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas.
A Henderson resident for the past two years and former longtime resident of Green River, she died following a two-year illness.
She was born Oct. 8, 1924, in Rock Springs, the daughter of Arthur and Nellie Elder. She attended schools in Green River and was a Lincoln High School graduate with the class of 1942.
She married Alva Miller in 1946 in Green River. He preceded her in death in 1989 in Longview, Texas.
Mrs. Miller worked at the Union Pacific Railroad as a billing clerk and retired in 1982.
She was a member of the Union Congregational Church and Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include her daughter, JaNell Sanchez and husband Joe of Henderson; two grandchildren, Jake Sanchez and wife Jennifer of Henderson and Joel Sanchez of Bend, Ore.; and two great-grandsons, Jace Sanchez and Jaxton Sanchez, both of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Miller; son, Artie Miller; parents, Art and Nellie Elder; and two brothers, Lloyd Elder and Ed Bishop.
