Services for Hans Ernest Jensen will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Home. Jensen died at the Blair Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 29, 1986.
Jensen was born in the Orum vicinity on January 17, 1912, to Jens C. and Johanne Jensen. He grew up on a farm in the Herman neighborhood.
In January of 1942 he married Lena Layman at Blair.
In May of 1942 he entered the military service during WW II, serving in North Africa with the Air Corps. He left the military service in 1946 and farmed for 30 years northwest of Kennard.
In 1977 they moved to Blair where he drove the Crowell Home van until ill health caused his retirement.
Jensen is survived by his wife Lena of Blair, two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Rosamond) Hancock of Blair, Mrs. Blaine (Marie) Ernst of Pasco, Washington; nieces and a nephew.
