Agnes Johnette Fleshner, age 76, of Greentop, MO, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013, at her residence.
She was born July 28, 1937, in Adair County, MO, the daughter of John Calvin and Estelle Fisher Pack.
She was united in marriage to Darell Dean Perry April 7, 1956, in Kirksville, MO and he preceded her in death on June 29, 1978. In 1981, she was united in marriage to Rex Lynn Fleshner at Kirksville, MO.
Surviving are her husband Rex Fleshner of Greentop, MO, two sons Steven Lee Perry of Greentop, MO and Mark Dean Perry of Kirksville, MO; five step-children Debbie Colvin and husband Doug of Chatham, IL, Ted Elder and wife Marla of Greentop, MO, Ed Elder of Downing, MO, Fred Elder and wife Lisa of Greentop, MO, and J.J. Fleshner and wife Tonya of Downing, MO; one son-in-law John Shahan of Kirksville, MO; one brother C.A. Pack of Kirksville, MO; twenty-seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Johnette was preceded in death by her parents; husband Darell Perry; one daughter Marsha Anne Shahan and one step daughter Patty Fleshner.
Johnette was raised in Adair County where she attended rural school and graduated from Brashear High School. She was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone for thirty-one years retiring in 1993. After her retirement she worked part time for Hy-Vee Floral. Johnette raised dogs when she was younger and enjoyed horses. But one of her greatest joys was raising and showing rabbits and was a huge supporter of the Nemo Fair Rabbit Show. She was a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association for seventeen years and was a member of the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville, MO.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO. Father Chris Cordes will officiate the services.
Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens.
Casket bearers will be John Shahan, Ted Elder, Ed Elder, Fred Elder, Darell Perry and Johnathon Perry.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013, from 1 p.m. till time of services at 2:30 p.m. in the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO.
Memorials may be made to the Family to be designated later and may be left at or mailed to Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, 2100 East Shepherd Ave., Kirksville, MO 63501.
