Lois E. Boyd
LEWISTON, N.Y. – Former Clearfield resident Lois E. (Rinehart) Boyd 77, of 4714 Creek Road, Lewiston, N.Y., died Saturday, June 13, 1992, at the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Bigler Aug. 17, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Mitchell and Verda (Hubler) Rinehart.
Mrs. Boyd resided in Lewiston since 1947. She had also lived in Niagara Falls.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, the Mended Hearts Association and the Golden Bison Alumni Association of Clearfield High School.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by her husband, Clearfield native Samuel A. Boyd of Lewiston; two daughters, Susan Schuler of Warwick, N.Y., and Jacquelyn Fessenden of Harrisburg; and seven grandchildren.
She is also survived by five sisters, Marion Jury, Buckeye, Ariz.; Katherine Reigh and Madeline Bilger, Port Matilda; Maxine McClearan Horner, Boalsburg; and Leda Smeltzer, Pine Grove Mills; a brother, Clifford Rinehart, State College; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Boyd was the mother of the late James Boyd, who died in 1987, and the grandmother of the late Troy J. Schuler, who also died in 1987.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of the Hardison Funeral Home, Lewiston. The Rev. Paul Denise conducted funeral services on Monday at the First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation of Central New York, Motel Syracuse, 500 S. Warren St., Syracuse, NY 13202; Camp Good Days and Special Times, a summer camp for youth with cancer, P.O. Box 685, Buffalo, NY 14213; or any other charity of the individual's choice.
