Ives, Arthur C., later known as Red, was the only son of Henry Stark and Margaret Ives. Arthur was a great uncle to all of his neices and nephews. One nephew, E. Dean Wood remembered many occasions of Arthur Ives (Uncle Red) bringing a mess of fresh Rainbow Trout caught in the wild streams of Pitkin County. During his life in Aspen, Uncle Red was a Taxi Driver, and also delivered Ice. Uncle Red moved to Denver later in life to be around family. He worked at the Water Department for the City of Englewood. Uncle Red (Arthur) succombed to Health Issues at 57 years of age, yet was remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him. He may be buried alone in a large cemetery, but his soul is with the Lord in Heaven, surrounded by the family he loved so much.
