Mrs. Frances Harrison, 88, of California Dies; ex-Blair Woman

Mrs. Frances May Harrison, 88, widow of William Harrison of Blair, died Friday at a hospital in Oakland, Calif. Resident of Oakland since 1937, she had suffered a broken hip in a fall several weeks ago.

Rites were held July 3 at the Little Chapel of the Flowers in Berkeley, Calif. Cremation followed. The remains will be buried in Blair Cemetery, but the Campbell Mortuary has not yet received word regarding the time.

Mrs. Harrison was born Jan. 28, 1868, in Pennsylvania, as Frances May Van Horn, but came to Blair as an infant. She and her husband farmed south of Blair for many years.

Surviving her are a daughter, Miss Ada Harrison of Oakland, Calif., with whom she made her home; also a grandson, George William Harrison of San Jose, Calif. There are four great-granddaughter and one great-great-granddaughter.

While in Blair Mrs. Harrison was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.
