Thomas E. Abel, 86, of Anderson, passed away on August 5, 2013 at St. Vincent - Indianapolis. He was born on November 18, 1926 in Anderson, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Thomas graduated from Anderson High School. He served his country in the Navy during WWII. He is a retired service technician for Sears with 38.5 years of service. He was a member of Kingston Avenue Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Mae (Hitman) Abel; father, John S. Abel; previous wife, Nadean Abel; three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held Friday 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, IN. Services will be Friday at the funeral home with Jason Reeves officiating. Cremation will take place.
