She spent her entire life in the Maxson neighborhood until 1943, she moved to Melvern.
She was a member of the Maxson Presbyterian Church.
November 8, 1888, she was united in marriage to Frank Sutton. To this union 2 children were born, Grant of Nixon, Texas and Pearl Yockey of Melvern. Her husband preceded her in death September 1, 1947.
Survivors beside the son and daughter are 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Herbert of Ottawa, Harry of Kansas City, Kansas, 1 sister, Mattie Warren of Denver , Colorado. Several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Aunt May will be missed by all that knew her. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. , Saturday, October 3 at the Melvern Church of God. Rev. Paul Fine and Rev Doyle Lamon were in charge. Warren Streit sang "In The Garden" and "No Night There", accompanied by Maxine Kramer.
Caskets bearers were nephews, John Plowman, Flem Rice, Arvin Carroll, Roy Sutton, Mac Fine, and Everett Fine.
