Services were Monday, Dec. 9 at the Christian Church in Logan, Iowa for James C. Harris, Missouri Valley, Iowa, who died Dec. 5, 19 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley. Rev. Rusty Hedger officiated. Burial was in Soldier Valley Cemetery at Pisgah, Iowa.

James C. Harris was born July 30, 1953 in Pisgah to Calvin and Betty Pape Harris. He graduated from the West Harrison High School in 1971.

He was the parts manager for Sid Dillon Chevrolet in Blair.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty and his grandparents.

He is survived by his son, Joel Harris; his father, Calvin Harris; his step-mother, Kathryn Harris, all of Logan; sisters and brother-in-law, Diane Haubold of Woodbine, Iowa and Dorothy and Joe Hildreth of Underwood, Iowa; a step-sister, Phyllis Kersten; and step-brothers, Larry, Bob, Jim, Dennis and Jon Hornbeck.

Casket bearers were Russ Long, Bradley King, Dave Longemeyer, Larry Pape, Jon Hornbeck, and Dennis Marcum.

Honorary bearers were Tim Guinan and Tom Niedermyer.

Sandra Straight was organist.

Arrangements were by Hennessey-Hurley-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley.
