PAROWAN--Funeral services for William Adams, 82, retired banker and L. D. S. church leader of Iron county, were conducted Wednesday afternoon in Parowan East L. D. S. ward chapel. Burial was in Parowan city cemetery.
Born in Parowan in 1855, he had lived all his life in the Iron county seat. He was a son of William and Mary Ann Leach Adams, pioneers of Parowan.
In 1878 he married the late Mary Jane Richards in St. George L. D. S. temple. He married Mabel Mitchell Rose in the Manti temple 25 years later.


Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mabel Adams; five sons, James L., Randall and Howard Adams, Parowan; Morgan Adams, California, and Emerson Adams, Spokane, Wash., and a daughter, Mrs. Mabel A. McDonald, Mesa, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three stepdaughters, Zella R. Whitney, Pearl R. Hoyle and Vera R. McShane, all of Parowan, and a half-brother, Frank Adams of San Juan county.
