Billy Peale
The funeral for former Holley carburetor plant employee and farmer Lloyd Mason "Billy" Peale of Paris was at 2 p.m. Sunday at McEvoy Funeral Home.
Marty Arnold from Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church, where Peale was a member, and James Smith of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church officiated. Burial followed in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Justin Bruce, David and Mason Peale, Keith Hodge, Jeremy Hendon and Cameron Hart.
Honorary pallbearers were Andrew and Levi Peale, Cody Craig and Luis Macias.
Visitation was Saturday and Sunday.
Peale, 84, died Friday, June 20, 2014, at his residence.
His wife, Lois Hart Peale, survives. They were married on Nov. 25, 1951.
Born March 25, 1930, in Henry County, he was a son of the late Lawrence W. and Bertha M. Lowe Peale.
A family member said Peale was a husband and father of five children.
He leaves two daughters: Anita (Ricky) Ford of Henry and Jan (Troy) Bruce of Henry; three sons: Milton (Karen) Peale of Springville and Randy (Pam) Peale and Bryant (Renae) Peale, both of Paris; one sister: Dorothy Souther of Warsaw, Ind.; one brother: Joe Lowe of Paris;
Twelve grandchildren: Ashley (Keith) Hodge, David (Rebecca) Peale, Mason Peale, Cameron Hart, Katherine (Jamey) Tosh, Justin (Morgan) Bruce, Melanie (Jeremy) Hendon, Magen (Luis) Macias, Emily Ford, Lindsay (Cody) Craig, Andrew Peale and Levi Peale; and six great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by three sisters: Ruth Dunn, Thera Kemp and Gladys Easley; and one brother: Howard Peale.
Memorials may be made to the Johnson Chapel Cemetery fund, c/o Bryant Peale, 1855 Jones Bend Road, Paris.
