Marie E. Bange, of Glenville, entered into God's eternal care, August 1, 2013, with her loving family by her side. Marie was the loving wife of Melvin L. Bange, with whom she shared over 55 years of marriage.

Born December 16, 1931, in Kingsdale, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ruth (Harman) Spangler.

Marie was a graduate of the Oak Grove one room school house in Kingsdale.

She was a housewife, but also worked at the Littlestown Box Factory, Littlestown Baby Shoe, and the Windsor Shoe Factory.

Marie enjoyed cooking, gardening, especially her flowers, and doing word search puzzles and attended Grace Bible Church of North Carroll.

Mrs. Bange is survived by her children, Yolanda M. Leer of Middletown, Rebecca I. Bange of Glenville, Andrew L. Bange of Glenville, Rachel A. Cox of Chillicothe, Ohio, John E. Bange of Glen Rock, and James E. Bange of Spring Grove; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Alvin Spangler of Littlestown; and one sister, Anna Ecker of Waynesboro.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jada M. Bange; and two brothers, David E. Spangler and John Spangler.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Marie's life will be held 10 a.m., August 5, 2013, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., Hanover, with her pastor, the Rev. Paul Wenzel, officiating. Burial will be in York Road Cemetery, Hanover. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. the 4th at the funeral home.
