Dolores Tomalis (nee Toth), 80, of Avon, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at St. John Medical Center, Westlake, following a short illness.

She was born March 13, 1932 in Lorain to the late Nicholas and Veronica (Geres) Toth. Delores was a 1950 graduate of Lorain High School and a lifelong resident of Lorain.
She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lorain. Dolores enjoyed cooking, baking and cake decorating. She also enjoyed playing bingo, gardening and loved watching classic movies starring Doris Day and Jerry Lewis.

Surviving are her daughters, Cynthia (John) Farmer of North Ridgeville, and Catherine (Ryan) Ybarra of Lorain; sisters, Lucille Kyzanowski of S. Amherst, and Loretta Vereb of Lorain.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew in 1983.

The Tomalis family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Closing prayers will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral center, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th. Street, Lorain. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
