Mrs. Elizabeth Jones.
Liberty, Ill., May 11. - Mrs. Elizabeth Jones, 74, of Liberty, wife of William Jones, died yesterday afternoon at 5:30 in St. Mary hospital, Quincy. She had been a patient there since May 5.
Mrs. Jones was born at Kellerville July 18, 1876, a daughter of Daniel and Sarah Hurst Sims. She was married to William Allensworth Feb. 17, 1893, at La Grange, Mo. Mr. Allensworth died Jan. 26, 1926. She was married to William Jones Feb. 17, 1930, at Quincy.
Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Emma Viar of Liberty, Mrs. Dora O'Dear and Mrs. Ada Hesse of Quincy, Mrs. Eva Laymon of Kansas City, Kas., and Mrs. Ella Black of Birmingham, Ill.; six sons, William and David Allensworth of Payson, Reuben and John Allensworth of Adams, James Allensworth of Quincy and Floyd Allensworth of Liberty; 40 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. One daughter died in infancy. She was the last of seven children.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 in the Frey funeral home here and at 2 in the Christian church. Burial will be in New Providence cemetery, Ursa.
