Mrs. A. F. Garske passed away at 7:15 o'clock this morning at the Blair Hospital of heart trouble. Her death wasn't unexpected, for she had been in a very serious condition for several days. The funeral will be held at the family residence in the rear of the tailor shop at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon.

Auguste Sophie Adolphine Kotsch was born in Fuerstewalde, near Berlin, Germany, March 30th, 1847, and was, therefore, past sixty years of age. She was married to August F. Garske at Burlington, Wis., October 11th, 1868, the same year she came to America, so her death occurred within one day of the 49th anniversary of her wedding day.

They came to Blair in 1880 and have lived here ever since. Seven children were born to them, two having died in infancy. Those living are: Hattie, Mrs. Chris Frahm, Chas. A. Garske and Alma, Mrs. Gregg Ivison, All of Chicago, Helen, Mrs. Wm. Gibson, of Omaha, and Reinhold, of this city. There are five grandchildren. The entire community sympathizes with the bereaved husband and family in the loss of a loving wife and mother.
