Mrs. U. G. Garner passed away at her home in this city this morning, November 8, at 4:30 o'clock, after an illness of several months duration, aged 49 years and 5 months.

Aimee Gochenouer was born in Algonia, Iowa, June 8, 1874, but had spent the greater part of her life in Blair. She was married September 17, 1892, to U. G. Garner of this place and was the mother of two sons, Inver Garner, now living in Omaha, and Gilford, at home.

Mrs. Garner was a member of the Baptist Church and gave much of her time to the work of the church and was never happier than when engaged in some social work pertaining to this organization. She had many friends and a large circle of acquaintances who will deeply mourn her untimely death.

Several months ago her health began to fail and her family attributed the cause to a nervous breakdown, but with determined effort on her part, she kept about the house looking after her work and family. She was a great home lover and her family and her sisters were her chief consideration. Especially was she attached to her twin sister, Mrs. Gilbert Hine, who was with her almost continuously during the last few weeks of her life.

Tuesday afternoon she lapsed into a state of unconsciousness from which she did not rally and on Thursday morning her spirit left its frail tenement and ascended to her heavenly home.

There survives to mourn their loss, her husband, two sons, six sisters, Mrs. C. J. Knowington, of Omaha; Mrs. J. M. (Ida) Trimble, Kadoka, S. D.; Mrs. J. L. (Francis) Dixon, Ft. Calhoun; Mrs. L. L. (Ella) Latta, Mrs. O. M. (Charlotte) Ireland and Mrs. G. G. (Alma) Hines of Blair and many other relatives.

While definite arrangements have not been made for the funeral as we go to press, it is likely it will be held at the Baptist Church Saturday afternoon.

The entire community extends sympathy to the sorrowing ones.
