Heidi Anne (Stone) Bayer, 40, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 after battling breast cancer for more than a year at her home in Sonora, Calif.
She was born on Tuesday, July 10, 1973 in Sonora, CA, and was the daughter of Richard Stone and Linda Stone.
Heidi graduated from Summerville High School in 1992 and was a member of the Color Guard. She also attended Columbia College.
She was a homemaker for 20 years and homeschooled her children through Hickman Charter School for several years.
Heidi worked as an assistant manager for the Sonora McDonald's for a number of years. She also worked as an assembler and machine operator at Mother Lode Plastics in Soulsbyville, as a caregiver at Skyline Place, and a teacher's aide at Soulsbyville Elementary School where she was known as the "Sunshine Mine Lady."
She was a member of the Mother's of Preschoolers group at Sierra Bible Church, was a board member of the Partners in Ministry Church in Sonora and attended Christian Heights Assembly of God Church and volunteered at the cancer center at Sonora Regional Medical Center and participated in Relay for Life the past two years.
Mrs. Bayer is survived by her husband of 21 years, Fritz Bayer, of Sonora, CA, mother, Linda Stone Breckheimer, of Alsea, Ore., her children, Rebecca, Annabelle and Brandon Bayer, all of Sonora, Ca, her siblings, Jeremy Stone, of Independence, Ore., Heather Houck, of Waldport, Ore., and Jodi Seeley, of Florence, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Stone, in 1999.
