Minnie May George was the daughter of Andrew Jackson George and Mary Ann Hopkins. She may have been born in Dunklin Co., MO, that is where the family was living in 1870 census. Her parents moved around quite a bit when she was a young girl, places like Missouri, Arkansas and Texas. Minnie married to Benjamin L. Adkins on c 1904 prob. in Ellis or Waller Co., TX. To this union nine children were born 1) Lillian May 2) Clifford L. 3) Lowell A. 4) Edgar "Ed" Lee 5) Loyd Jackson 6) Benjamin Howard 7) Lantha Lafene 8) Alvin "Whitie" and 9) Elvin "Blackie" [twins] ADKINS. Their first child being born in Saratoga, Jefferson Co., TX and the remaining children being born in Wetumka, Hughes Co., OK. In later years, Ben and Minnie divorced.
