JEROME RYAN DIES
Jerome (Jack) Ryan, 79, lifelong Biloxian died at 3:05 p.m. Saturday in Gulfport at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F.T. Rea, 1012 39th Avenue, where he had been ill for the past two weeks. He had been an employe of the Harry T. Howard family all of is life and was active in their service until about 10 years ago.
For years Mr. Ryan looked after the Howard property and resided in a home on the Water Street section of the estate atg 416 East Water Street from he was buried this morning at 0 o'clock wi6th requiem mass at the Church of the Nativity by Father F. Quinn. He was the son of the late Jerome Ryan and Francis Carson and worked for the Howard family from the time he was just a boy. He had many friends in Biloxi and was a member of the Biloxi Benevolent Association and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member.
His wife, Elizabeth Matilda Creel Ryan, a daughter, Mrs. F.T. Rea, Gulfport, granddaughter, Mrs. Emile Gauthe, Gulfport, four sisters, Mrs. Ben Baker, Deer Island, Mrs. J. Schmidt, Biloxi, Misses Pearl and Carrie Ryan, Biloxi and other relatives.
