Dorothy Houston, 92, a retired school secretary and housewife, passed away at 2:28 a.m. Thursday (July 25, 2013) at her home in Paxton that she and her husband built with their own hands in 1949.
She was born Sept. 23, 1920 at the former Bremer Farm near Perdueville to Carl and Clara Skog Skonberg. On May 8, 1943, she married Eugene Houston in Paxton. He died in 2008. In addition to her husband, her parents, two brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Randy (Mary) Houston, Tami (Kevin) Berry, Kent (Nita Boyce, fiancee) Houston, Roger (Gillian) Houston, Vicki (Robert, deceased) Kaiser and Douglas (Laura) Houston and eight grandchildren, Emily, Andrew, Nicola, Alice, Melissa and John Houston, and Tyler and Kyle Berry.
