She worked as a nurse's aide for many years before becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was lastly employed at Mainland Manor Nursing Home where she worked for more than 30 years.
In addition to her parents, Thelma Scroggins and Andrew Thomas Sr; she was predeceased by her brother, Andrew Thomas, Jr. and her beloved daughter, Keisha McCoy.
Survivors include her loving husband, Darryl "Buttons" McCoy, Sr.; daughters, Victoria and Danielle; and son, Darryl "Dooley" McCoy, Jr.; four granddaughters, five great-grandchildren; five sisters; one brother; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services at Second Baptist Church, 110 Dr. I. S. Cole Plaza, Atlantic City. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
