Joyce "Nana" (Brown) Bolin, 61 years of age, died Monday, July 22, 2013.
Mrs. Bolin was born in Spartanburg, a daughter of the late Joe E. and Emma H. Brown.
A member of Bowman Southern Methodist Church, she enjoyed singing, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 11:00 A.M., at Bowman Southern Methodist Church with Rev. John Konieczko officiating. Burial was in Ott Cemetery in Branchville. The casket was placed in the church one hour before services. Pallbearers were grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Lewis W. Bolin, one son, Lewis W. Bolin II "Heather" of Rowesville, two daughters, Missy Magers "Dan" of Branchville, Renee Gosnell "Robert" of Summerville, thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bolin is also survived by three sisters, Betty Barnette, Becky Miller, and Sandy Rogers, one brother, Ronnie Brown, all of Spartanburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan W. Bolin, by two brothers, Bobby Brown and Jim Brown, and one sister, Mary Louise Brown.
The family received friends Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 pm at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville; at other times, friends called at the residence of Missy and Dan Magers.
Memorials could be made to Bowman Southern Methodist Church.
