Robert Sanford DeYoe was born in Omaha, Neb. on March 28, 1925. In his life, Robert loved woodworking in any form. He excelled in floral arrangements carved from driftwood. He took the challenge, whatever it was, in woodworking. Robert proudly served his nation during World War II in the United States Navy. For his meritorious service, he was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation.
He was also a great cook. He loved to look up family history and was a very family oriented man. For the most part, he enjoyed being a homebody. He had a great love for Betty, his wife of 60 years. His family was his greatest love of all. Robert loved to tell stories and was a master at doing so. Robert Sanford DeYoe passed away on Jan. 8, 2003. Funeral services were held on Jan. 14, 2003 at the Rose Chapel at Lake Isabella Funeral Home.
Interment is scheduled for today, Jan. 15, 2003 at Valhalla Memorial Park in North Hollywood. Robert is survived by his wife, Betty Loy DeYoe of Lake Isabella; his son, Kevin DeYoe, Sr.; grandson Kevin DeYoe, Jr. and his wife Lorena; granddaughter Allesia Allen; and his great-grandchildren Elena and Anthony DeYoe. Robert will be greatly missed. Services entrusted to the care of the Lake Isabella Funeral Home.
