SALEM - Ione Rambo peacefully passed away April 3rd at home, with loved ones.

Born in 1936 to Charles and Lonabelle Cochrane. She was born in Dallas, OR and was the oldest of two children. She attended and graduated from Dallas High School.

She met her husband Clay Rambo at a dance in Dallas, OR and they were married for 57 years. Together they moved to Salem, OR and purchased 30 acres in NE Salem, and built a small farm which later became part of the Royal Oaks Subdivision.

Ione was the proud mother of three beautiful children; Robert, Charles and Sharon Rambo. She was a full time housewife and mother and thoroughly enjoyed her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Clay Rambo; Children-Robert, Charles and Sharon Rambo; Grandchildren-Bryce and Peyton Young (Rambo); along with sister Clara Kuhn.

The Rambo family would like to express their gratitude to Ione's primary caregiver Mike and to the wonderful work of Willamette Valley Hospice for all of their loving care and support.

A service will be held on April 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Restlawn Funeral Home.
