Mrs. A. Weers Of Anamosa Area Dies on Aug. 5th
Mrs. Albert Weers, 83, died Friday, Aug. 5, at John McDonald hospital, Monticello, following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 8, at 1.30 p.m., at SS. Peter and Paul Lutheran church Monticello. Rev. Richard Zellmer conducted the service. Burial was in Prairie Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers Named:
Pallbearers included Kenneth Kray, William Weers, Leonard Kray, Lawrence Weers, Willis Kray and Wilbur Conley.
Life Outlined:
She was born Oct. 24, 1882, daughter of Frederick Schroeder and Margaret Scheer Schroeder, near Center Junction. She was married Aug. 20, 1903, to Albert Weers at Castle Grove Lutheran church. Couple made their home on a farm in Cass township.
Survivors Told:
Survivors include three sons, John, Gerd and Fred, all of Anamosa; two daughters, Emma, Mrs. Henry Kray, Monticello; and Marie, Mrs. Raymond Conley, Anamosa; 25 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1954; a daughter, Katie; her parents, three brothers and one sister.
