Bob R. King, a good man, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 27, 2008. He was 68 years old. He grew up in King Hollow and graduated from Pittman Center High School. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Raymond and Bessie Mae King and brothers, Homer and Tommy L. King. He was a barber in Pigeon Forge for many years. He ultimately retired from the Sevier County School System. He worked in maintenance and transportation. He loved to talk, especially about his favorite pastimes: family, fishing, and racing. He was a NASCAR fan, and Dale Earnhardt was his personal favorite. He was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church. He was a member of the Smoky Mountain Masonic Lodge # 197 and also the Kerbela Temple and the Scottish Rite. He leaves behind: His wife, Judy Reagan King; His daughters, Beverly and her husband Tom Smith, and Christy King; His grandchildren, Reed, Cole, Kennedy and Max Smith; His sister and brothers, Stella Caughron and her husband Harold, Ben R. King and his wife Carolyn, Johnny D. King and his wife Karen. Other survivors include: His mother-in-law, Juanita Reagan; Brother and sister-in law Eddie and Kathy Reagan; Nieces and nephews, Barbara Tinker, Belinda Tinker, Beth Penland, Ashley Reagan, John-David King and Thomas-Paul King; His adopted family the Rex Ogle Family; And his little dog, â�,��"ABBYâ�,�. He leaves behind many, many good friends. Memorials may be made to Covenant Home Care Hospice Fund, 1901 West Clinch Avenue, Knoxville, Tenn. 37916. His pall bearers will be John-David King, Thomas-Paul King, Micheal King, Rob Tinker, Mike Tinker and Matt Penland. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Marvin Harmon, Woody Allen, Austin Greene, Ronnie Jenkins, Ed Reagan, Eddie Smith, Garry Kimble, Benny Ogle, Rex Henry Ogle, Doran Huskey, Eddie Clabo, Mike Chambers and the Chambers Market Breakfast Crew. Funeral service 12 PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Reverend Dan King and Reverend Melvin Carr officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Whaley Cemetery off Jones Cove Road. The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Tuesday at Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville.
