Arvel Edwin Alleman was the son of Edwin L. And Vera Humpherys Alleman. He was raised in Bern and also lived in Montpelier, Idaho, where he graduated from high school.
Arvel served in the U.S Army during World War II. He married Arlene Barney on June 23, 1948, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Stevensville, Montana, for 10 years and have lived in Thatcher, Idaho for over 44 years.
Arvel was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served as Counselor, Branch Presidency, Bishop, Counselor, and also in Scouting.
He enjoyed woodworking and especially spending time with his family. He and his wife, Arlene, spent many winters in Mesa, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by a brother, sister, daughter and a grandson.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at the Thatcher-Williams Ward Chapel in Niter, Idaho. Burial was in the Thatcher Cemetery.
