MRS. DELLA WHITE MOOSE PASSES MONDAY AFTERNOON
DIED: August 21, 1936
Funeral Services held Wednesday Morning at 11:00 o'clock at her home here, she became ill a month ago while visiting in Connecticut and her condition had grown worse rapidly, since her return home.
Mrs. Moose was the only daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. J. A. White a prominent family in the educational and religious history of Alexander County. She was a talented musician having taught private pupils piano and serving as pianist at the Baptist Church for many years.
She married Dr. Edgar W. Moose, who died several years ago. She is survived by four daughters. Mrs. M. G. Bowman of Lawndale, Mrs. Sam Bass of Charlotte, Mrs. John F. Alexander of Stonington, Conn., Miss Margaret Moose at home, and three sons, Mr. W.H. of Canton, Ohio; Mr. O'Neal Moose of Washington D.C. and Mr. Joe Moose, at home. Also surviving are four brothers, Mr. C.H. White of Elizabethton, Tenn., Rev. E. E. White of Pittman, N.J.; Mr. A. F. White of Rockhill, S. C. and Mr. T. C. White of Philadelphia.
Funeral Services were held from Baptist Church Wednesday morning at 11:00 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. C. C. Holland, assisted by Rev. E. W. Bumgarner. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Messer, A. C. Payne, Solon Little, Paul Lackey, Ray Jennings, Anderson Price, Rom Teague. Honorary were, Messer, J. L. Gwaltney, A.M. Edwards, J. L. watts, J. C. Bell, Asa Thurston, Mitchell Ingram, and H. P. Femister.
The flowers were arranged by Mrs. Rom Teague, assisted by a large number of friends.
