Born in Washington D.C., he lived in Hagerstown for 40 years.
Surviving are his wife, Agnes (Jordan) Bartlett; daughters, Mrs. Helen Sigler, Hagerstown. Route 2, with whom he made his home; Mrs. Jane Younker, Smithburg; and Mrs. Mary Wenrich, Cumberland; sons, Raymond L., Baltimore; Charles U., and George, both of Hagerstown; and Charles, Cumberland; sister, Mrs. May Keesecker, Hagerstown and 10 grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Kraiss Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Dr. F. Berry Plummer. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
