Fay was the youngest of two children born to Harry Sylvester and Nettie Servenia (Bean) Gasaway. She married Frank Joseph Trunk Sr. in 1915 and they were the parents of four children: Alice Dorothy, Margaret Fay, Frank Joseph Jr., Betty Ann.

Fay Trunk, 89, died June 23 at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
She was born June 24, 1891, at Chimney Rock, Mont., on Trail Creek. At the age of five she moved with her mother to Forsythe where she attended school. Later she attended Normal School in Dillon for two years.
She taught at the McKay School on the Rosebud at Sanders and Hysham, Mont.
She married Frank J. Trunk in Miles City on June 24, 1915. They lived in Forsythe where they operated a plumbing and heating business until 1929 when they moved to Bozeman where they owned a similar business.
She was a member and past president of Norma Rebekah Lodge No. 9, a member of the Montana Association for the Blind, Inc. was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church and a member of Merry Moments Club.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1961.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Keith (Alice) Botterud, of Bozeman, Mrs. Arthur (Margaret) Waltari of Great Falls and Betty Ann Todd of Miles City; a son, Frank J. Trunk, Jr. of Bozeman; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Montana Association for the Blind, Inc.
Services are pending at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Home.
