Obituary of Raymond C. "Tuck" Stewart, Hastings Tribune, 14 January 1999: Died: Raymond C. 'Tuck' Stewart, Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998. Former Alexandria resident Raymond C. 'Tuck' Stewart, 85, of Eugene, Ore., died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at McKenzie--Willamette General Hospital in Eugene. Memorial services were Jan. 9 in Eugene. His remains were cremated. Private burial was in Harmony Cemetery north of Bruning. Price Funeral Home of Hebron was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Stewart was born Feb. 26, 1913, to Walter R. and Myrtle "Esta" (Bower) Stewart in Geneva. He grew up in Alexandria and Strang. In 1937 he married Audrey L. Manning. They lived in Fairmont and Friend. He owned and operated a trucking business for several years. He later married Clara E. Winkelman. They lived in Salina, Kan., Nampa, Idaho, and later settled in Eugene. There he owned and operated a service station and later drove a city bus until retiring. His wife [Clara--jms] preceded him in death. He later married Jan Roberts of Eugene. Survivors are three sons, John M. of Grand Island and Milan J. 'Micky' and Michael R., both of Portland, Ore.; one daughter, Rosalie J. Snell of Hastings; one brother, Donald L. of Canon City, Colo.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
