Bernard Arvin Brenton was born February 1, 1939, in Montgomery County, Iowa, to John and (living). He attended school in Villisca, Iowa.

In 1958, he married in Villisca. They moved to Blair in 1969, where he resided until his death.

He worked in concrete construction. He was preceded in death by his father, John.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, his mother, one brother, his sisters and 11 nephews and nieces.
