William Youel "Elder Billy" McCutchen, 1758 - 1848, buried here also, was their son. William McCutcheon died 29 Jun 1848 in Augusta Co., Virginia in the 90th year of his age. A Native of Virginia...born Nov 27, 1758...In 1806, united with the Old Providence (church)...was elected ruling elder. Per the Christian Magazine of the South VI, Dec 1848, p 382-4, p 27; Associate Reformed Presbyterian Death and Marriage Notices, 1843-63.
William and Saml McCutchen, plus David Fulton, had some legal suits in Augusta Co., Virginia Court in the 1790's, over slander and a land dispute.
